The NC Cancer Association (NCCA) is a non-profit organization that helps recently diagnosed cancer patients on their journey to cancer survival. We offer many different services at no cost to our patients. Here we describe some of our key services.
It’s difficult to know what to do when you’re diagnosed with cancer. The first thing that most of our clients do is go to Google and research what they can. The bad part about doing that is that you run across a lot of untruth or opinionated information that can make you even more scared. The next thing is that you’re led down a rabbit hole of confusion and depression. The NCCA provides you with the correct, factual information that you need and are available to answer as many questions that you have about your diagnosis.
Mentally, your diagnosis can be overwhelming. Since the NC Cancer Association is a faith-based organization, we have clergy on staff to assist you with your spiritual needs.
Your well-being is instrumental to us. We want to make sure that even after treatments, you have everything that you need to keep going.
Going through treatments can not only be time consuming but it can also drain your savings. We provide ways for you to lessen the burden as you’re going through treatments. There is also assistance for travel and/or lodging that we can assist you with.
It is said that spa treatments and some types of massage therapy can allow relief during recovery. We assist you with getting the right type of spa treatments and massage therapy that you need to feel better.
